Michelle Azzi, Associate Director of Marketing
Ms. Azzi earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Montevallo and a M.B.A. from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She has been a marketing consultant for High Meadows since 2004. She joined High Meadows as a staff member in 2007.

Ms. Backalenick earned a B.A. in Music at Colgate University and a M.S. in Early Childhood Education at State University of New York. She has taken graduate course work in Reading at Georgia State University. Her daughter attends High Meadows. She joined High Meadows in 2005.

Ms. Cardenas worked at High Meadows in the Middle Years Spanish program from 1994-2003. She received a B.S. from the University of New Hampshire. She also attended the University of Americas, Mexico from 1974-1976. Her two children graduated from High Meadows. She rejoined High Meadows in 2004.

Ms. Chalek earned an Associate’s degree, and is in the process of completing a Bachelor ‘s degree in Early Childhood Education at Brenau University. Her younger son graduated from High Meadows in 1997. She joined High Meadows in 1993.

Mr. Julio De Aracama, Middle Years Math and Science Teacher
Mr. De Aracama earned a B.S. from the Universidad Nacional del Sur Bahia Blanca, Buenos Aires, Argentina. He received a M.S. from Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. He joined High Meadows in 2003.

Mr. Denning earned his M.A.T. from Emory University Grad School of Arts & Sciences. In 1994, he graduated with an M.B.A. in Finance from Fordham University. He also holds a B.A. in Political Sciences from Duke University. His daughter attends High Meadows. He joined High Meadows in 2007.

Mr. Dovic earned a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Dallas and has over 10 years of experience with outdoor education and camp. He joined High Meadows in 1999.

Mr. Gibson attended the Hackley School in New York and spent time traveling around the world. He enjoys photography and writing poetry. He joined High Meadows in 1995.

Ms. Carolyn Higgins, Preschool Nature Teacher, Bus Driver
Carolyn has worked with young children exploring the outdoors in many camp settings, including High Meadows Camp, since 1984. She also has experience working with special needs children. Carolyn is licensed to drive the High Meadows School bus daily and for school field trips.
