We asked you to tell us about your first day of school. We got lots of responses from boys, but only a few from girls. If you lost a binder, started a new school or learned a new game, you have something in common with these kids whether you're a girl or a boy!
Today was my first school day in third grade. I only had one friend from last year inside my class. My friend from last year sat next to me. We didn't have recess because it was too hot. Math was short because it was the first day of school. For the whole time at math we played a game called Around the World. It was a fun game. I love my new class, new teacher and new friends. My first school day was a very hot but wonderful day.

I got to ride the school bus on my first day of kindergarten. That was my favorite thing. I also got to eat in the cafeteria at school and play on the playground. My teacher gave us magic Play-Doh that turned from white to pink when we mashed it.

On the first day of school I was not scared, but I did not know where to go. Our new school is big and fantastic! Everybody is so happy about the new middle school. I like seventh grade in our new building. I like using computers with all my best friends. I know I will have fun. I hope I won't have any problems.

I left Korea and arrived in Atlanta on August the 6th. Nine days later I went on the first day of school to Pinecrest Academy. This is my first year of school in the USA. After my Catholic formation class, I went to the playground. In Korea, when I go outside there are many people in the playground, and the playground is so small. But in the USA when I go outside there are few people in the playground, and the playground is so big. I like Pinecrest's playground.

I was getting ready for my first day in seventh grade. I was running up and down the stairs trying to get everything ready. My lunch was ready, my backpack was ready, and I was ready to get in the car and go to school. So we started driving and it hit me! I had left my binder at my house. So we drove all the way back home to get it only to find out it wasn't at my house. It was in my backpack the whole time.

My first day of school was excellent! One of the silliest things there was my teacher —- she was crazy. Her name is Ms. Ernst, and she joked around and acted like a dog. It made me laugh.
