School closing will be determined by the Head of School as early as possible. We will announce closings due to inclement weather by radio (WSB, WGST and STAR 94), television (WXIA, WSB and WAGA), and website, whenever necessary. Please note that our Alert Now Notification System and website will be the quickest way to determine school closings, as the t.v. stations have had delays in posting our status. On most occasions, you will receive a call through “Alert Now System” informing you of the closing between 5:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. Caller ID will display the main school number.
The Alert Now Notification System is used to send recorded messages informing parents of any inclement weather cancellations, early dismissal or school crisis, as well as standard announcements. Caller ID will display the main school number when the message is concerning an inclement weather or announcement oriented message. The Caller ID display will show 411 to alert the parents in the event of an urgent emergency call.
