A Culture of Generosity for the Future of Our Children

A high level of involvement and generosity is deeply ingrained into the High Meadows culture – for as many reasons as we have students and teachers. Every day, we see examples of exploration and understanding, wonder, discovery and the drive to do more. Moments that make parents say, “THIS is why our children go to school here,” move teachers to think, “THIS is why we love teaching – and why we teach here,” and remind alumni that “a lifelong love of learning” is not – and never was – just a catchphrase for them.

These remarkable moments are common – and yet, we know how extraordinary they are, how they do not happen by happenstance. They are what we work to create every day. And they are what remind us that our educational environment truly is unique, of deep value – and that this requires more significant resources than tuition alone can cover.

Charitable gifts make the difference – providing a vital source of funding for both operational and capital requirements. Since our development effort began in 1997, current and former families, alumni, grandparents, board members, faculty and staff, businesses, foundations, and other friends of High Meadows have demonstrated outstanding generosity, with participation in annual giving campaigns ranging from an average of 95% participation by current families to 100% participation by our faculty, staff and board members.

Contributions fund a wide range of essential needs ranging from technology upgrades, to staff development, to curriculum enrichment -- and more. Every dollar contributed helps guarantee that a High Meadows education remains an unparalleled experience for children now, and in the future.

Our contributors benefit, as well, because High Meadows is classified as a tax-exempt 501(c) 3 organization. So, every contribution is tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law – and the Georgia Private School Tax Credit enables certain contributions to come back to donors as a 100% tax credit.
