Charitable Giving at High Meadows
A low student-teacher ratio, hands-on learning, two teachers in every classroom…these elements and more translate into an exceptional education unique to High Meadows. Yet, maintaining our high standards requires significant resources -- well beyond those provided by tuition alone. This is where charitable giving steps in.
Like all independent schools, High Meadows uses charitable contributions to bridge the gap between tuition revenue and actual operating expenses. In fact, the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), reports that typically only about 80% of a private day school’s operating revenues come from tuition. At High Meadows, school tuition and revenues from our summer day camp supply approximately 90% of the cost of educating our students.

Charitable gifts make the difference – providing a vital source of funding for both operational and capital requirements. Since our development effort began in 1997, High Meadows has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars through the generosity of current and former families, alumni, grandparents, board members, faculty and staff, businesses, foundations, and other friends of High Meadows.
Benefits of Giving
Students are the ones who benefit most from your gift! Every dollar contributed helps guarantee that a High Meadows education remains an unparalleled experience for children now, and in the future. Contributions fund a wide range of essential needs ranging from technology upgrades, to staff development, to curriculum enrichment -- and more.
As an additional benefit, because High Meadows is classified as a tax-exempt 501(c) 3 organization, every contribution is tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. Many families give generously knowing that the tax-deductible gifts they make in the present lead to more manageable tuition rates in the future. |
